• Hi all. Sorry but i have no German. I am looking for help for my 128sl Gp2. I need to know what camber the fron and rear wheels should be set at. I use Leda independant suspension at the back (no leaf spring). Is this right? I also want to know where I can get wide arches (Gp2) and lightweight bonnet, boot and doors. I am hoping to do some Youngtimer races next year. Please help as I am the only person with a 128 in this spec in Ireland. Here are some pics

  • Hi,
Welcome at the Forum, you have a nice car.
I don´t know the camber you need, but I´m sure it depends on the lowering rate of your suspension and the kind of race.
If you want to do Youngtimer races in Germany, you need a car which belongs to the homologation sheet of ONS/DMSB. As I know, it is not allowed to change the kind of springs at the back. Maybe the Webers are also not homologated.
You can get some information on this site:
More info about Fiat 128 you can get here:

  • Great car!

There is no general suspension setup spec for a race car.
These specs very much depend on your spring rates, anti-roll bar stiffnesses, and most of all, your tyres.
So you will have to develop these specs yourself, unless you find someone who races a 128 with similar setup on the same tires.

But maybe that is exactly what you are looking for :)

  • Thanks guys. I am seeking anyone who has raced one like this for a reference. I have raced for many years but Historics are fairly new to me. And yes Bomboloni, it seems my suspension at the rear is wrong! Does anyone know anyone that raced or worked on or has any of the original cars? I want to get this car right.

  • Hi guys. Updated pics of my now finished car available on

Engine is on Webber 40's, fast road cam etc and gives around 125bhp.
Thanks to Jeurgan at for all the help and advice. He supplied all the suspension and some other parts. The car is very fast!!

  • Hi Frank. Thanks. I had hoped to do the Y/T race in Spa in August but work is too busy and the car is not very tested yet so this year we are in the UK in some CSCC races.
Definitely next year I will be doing the Spa race and the I hope , the '500. Very Good pictures on your website by the way!
Good luck to you and your team, Paul.
