alternatively - without installing a completely new distributor, which may not even be available for your engine - the simpler PerTronix Ignitor could be installed. to do this, you should look for your distribution ID in all cases.

even if the exact installation kit for your distributor is not available, it can be adapted. At the time, the plug & play installation kit was supposed to work for me, and I then had to drill off the existing base plate and mount the thing on my on-board ignition distributor plate. (use thermal paste if necessary)
... and most importantly, you need a suitable ignition coil - your original coil would start to boil after a few kilometers.
